What Guides BEAM
BEAM asks itself, "What do most scientists, mathematicians, engineers, and programmers do growing up?" and then, "How can we bring those same opportunities to underserved students?"
BEAM then creates a series of experiences for students from middle school through college:
Middle school: advanced math summer camps;
8th - 12th grades: enrichment classes; 1-on-1 and group advising to help students attend great high schools and colleges and access other STEM enrichment programs; fun activities to build community and math identity;
College: support navigating STEM majors and connections to internships, research opportunities, and career opportunities.
Our students have tremendous potential but few opportunities. Our goal is to make sure they can excel and achieve their STEM dreams.
